270 Pitt Street has been extensively refurbished into a premium commercial workplace within Sydney’s Town Hall Precinct. The 25-level tower now delivers over 22,000 square metres of upgraded office space alongside new end-of-trip and wellness facilities.
A key challenge was integrating the Ausgrid substation on Level 2, which required substantial intake and exhaust ventilation within a structurally constrained zone. Slab obstructions and architectural façade fins added further complexity.
Construction Specialties Australia supplied two Louvre systems to resolve these conditions. The RSV-5700 was used at the exhaust opening, incorporating dummy panels to maintain a uniform façade while achieving Class A rain defence and a Class 2 discharge coefficient meeting Ausgrid’s ventilation requirements. The EL-240 was selected for the intake opening, providing high free area to accommodate façade fins without restricting airflow.
The result is a technically resolved and visually cohesive refurbishment that supports the building’s strong environmental performance and repositions 270 Pitt Street as a high-performing CBD asset.
