Mountain Equipment Co-op Headquarters

About the Project

Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) is an outdoor retailer based out of Vancouver, Canada. Lining multiple levels of the Vancouver headquarters are CS’ Shadowline Sun Controls. The designers included these specific sun controls in the plans because they not only limit the harsh sun rays from entering the building but also allow architects to add a unique visual element to the exterior of the building. Through collaboration with CS, designers were able to increase building comfort without compromising on design.
