About the Project

Northern Wake Parking Garage in Wake County, North Carolina, is a student and staff parking facility on the Wake Tech Main Campus. Enlisted on the exterior of the parking garage is a collection of CS sun control solutions. The products used in this project include Horizontal Sunshades, Vertical Sunshades, and Cantilevered Sunshades. These sun controls work together to not only reduce the amount of direct sunlight that enters the facility but coherently add an incredible architectural visual to the exterior of the structure. By collaborating with CS, designers were able to create a memorable architectural structure out of a historically bland building type, demonstrating CS’ desire to encourage creativity.
