About the Project

Located in the breathtaking town of Hilo, Hawaii, the Bank of Hawaii’s Hilo Branch resides as the newest addition for the local bank. Situated on the east coast of Hawaii’s largest island, the Hilo Branch provides financial services to both local residents and travelers from around the world. During the construction process, architects wanted to add a visual element to the facade that was unique to their facility. The use of CS sun controls, paired with our custom woodgrain finish, allowed designers to create an environmental feel to the exterior, a distinguishable characteristic of Hawaiian architecture. This particular application of our sun controls was focused on visual appeal, rather than functionality, showcasing our flexibility to create custom solutions for both exterior design and building utility.
