The Science 1 Stem Research Center, a 3-story academic research facility, stands as a focal point in the University of Connecticut's Innovative Northwest Science Quad. This high-impact structure, dedicated to the fields of science and engineering, is home to the renowned Institute of Materials Science. CS played a crucial role in supplying Architectural Louvres to help turn this visionary of a 22-acre hillside parking lot, into a modern marvel of architectural design. Our Louvres not only enhance the building's functionality and sustainability but also contribute to design aesthetics. The Science 1 Research Center accommodates a wide range of research, teaching, administrative, and specialized spaces, including cleanrooms and analytical facilities, making it a pivotal facility for future advancements in the field. CS’ architectural louvres were key to this project by ensuring both design and function were seamlessly integrated.
